Patsy Cline
I’m not really one for country music, but there is something about classic country that I totally dig. Nashville, the Grand Ole Opry, June Carter Cash, Loretta Lynn, Brenda Lee. It’s not just classic, it’s classy. Really, check out the glittery costumes:
It’s hard to listen to Patsy and not realize there will be few like her. Not only did she open doors for female artists in country and pop music, but she had a once in a century set of pipes. Tragically, she died in a plane crash at the age of 30, cutting her career short. Willie Nelson wrote “Crazy”, her most famous song. She came in and recorded it all the way through in one cut.

Ooh, I adore Patsy Cline. That lady was a class act.
